Well, this last weekend, we ordered in and watched movies. I love doing that. I finally saw Bride Wars, by the way, and I don't care what the critics say, I loved it! My best friend Lynette keeps repeating that she is Kate Hudson and I am Anne Hathaway. Anyway, getting off track. I reached for my fortune (which should always be the cookie that is positioned closest to you according to fortune cookie etiquette 101) and cracked it open anticipating what I would get this time. I popped half of the cookie in my mouth and crunched away while reading this one. It's nothing profound...just a simple reminder that love is precious gift. It can't be forced, it can't be manipulated, it just is. Sometimes it's the little things that can give you the most insight.

Fortunes
I love Chinese food. I really do. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that you always get a treat at the end of your meal that comes in the form of your fortune. I've always thought they kinda taste like Nilla Wafers. But, anyhow, no matter how much I have stuffed myself with yummy orange chicken, spring rolls and chow mein, I ALWAYS have room to crack open that little cookie that holds my future inside! Sometimes it's way off and sometimes it's just plain weird and confusing, but every once in awhile I get a fortune that is so right on that I stuff it in my purse and keep it forever. I still have a few fortunes from high school stuffed in an old jewelry box somewhere. But the point is, is that fortune cookies are fun! I have never known anyone to turn one down and since I am such a meddler, I always make everyone at the table read theirs out loud - so what if most boys like to add "in bed" at the end of the fortune.
